Where the employer contribution goes
The projection adds estimated monthly employee and employer EPF contributions before applying a monthly-equivalent interest assumption. EPS diversion is excluded from the projected EPF balance and cannot exceed the modeled employer contribution available.
Important limitations
- Contribution eligibility, EPS applicability, and contribution on wages above the statutory ceiling can differ by employment circumstances and arrangements.
- For International Workers, the Karnataka High Court invalidated the special provisions while the Delhi High Court upheld the framework; Supreme Court proceedings remain pending, and no final nationwide determination was located as of 28 August 2026. Treatment can also depend on a Social Security Agreement and detached-worker circumstances. This calculator does not determine an individual's statutory International Worker contribution liability.
- Standard rates and wage ceilings can change. A 10% contribution rate applies only where the relevant establishment or class is legally eligible under applicable notifications and rules; the calculator does not determine that eligibility.
- EDLI and administrative charges are not included in member accumulation.
- This simplified projection is illustrative and will not exactly reproduce EPFO passbook accounting, annual interest crediting, or statutory rounding.
